Did you ever wonder if you should start a blog? Or ponder what is your destiny? Or think, ‘Where do I belong in this world?”. Would you like to work from the beach on your laptop? Do you want to have unlimited financial potential? If you answered yes to any of those questions blogging is for you!
Here are Eight Reasons Why You Should Start a Blog
1. Start a Blog To Fulfill Your Purpose
Blogging about a subject that you are passionate about is a great way to fulfill your purpose and passion.
You are so special. Just as no two snowflakes are alike, neither are two people.
You were created uniquely you for a reason. When you find your purpose and your passion that is where you will find true happiness. I don’t think a squirrel would prosper if he didn’t have trees to climb. Think about a fish, in the water they are glorious, take them out of water and they will die.
People are the same as animals, we thrive when we are in our correct environment, but when we are not, we are awkward and uninspired.
Only you can do what YOU do. No one else can be you. Even if you teach on the exact same subject, no one will do it exactly like you.
There is an expression, “Do what you love and the money will follow.” This is true, but it is not as easy as it sounds. You need to do what you love, find a way to monetize it, and plan your way to success. Just doing what you love in and of itself will not make you money.
2. Start a Blog To Make Money
Being able to afford a better life is truly a gift.
I know that money is not the end all be all. But without money? Life is extremely difficult. If you want to live a life of less stress, then money is the answer. When you are in a job, you are limited to raises that your boss can give you or the budget of your company. With your own blog, the sky is the limit. You can make as much money as you are willing to learn to make and work for.
What continues to inspire me is other bloggers making six figures a month. I am inspired by any income people make from blogging. To sit down and write about a topic that you could talk about all day anyway and then get paid, who doesn’t want that?
My favorite inspirational success story:
Michelle Schroder Gardener’s blog income for the month of January was $139,233.
There are plenty of more income reports out there floating around, but Michelle has been at it and is killing it. I am in the process of taking her course Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing, and it is really eye-opening.
I have been reading a lot about affiliate marketing. It would have taken me years to learn all of the strategies Michelle shares, but instead I learned it quickly through her course!
I will be writing a full review of the Making Sense Of Affiliate Marketing Course once I have put her strategies to work. I’m super excited to hit the ground running with all of my new-found knowledge.
I would love to have that kind of financial success, I’m working toward it, it’s one of my goals. Why not me? Why not you? We all have a computer and an internet connection, the tools are all there for anyone to use, we just have to make it happen.
3. Start a Blog to Find a Creative Outlet
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you are not creative because that is simply not true.
We are all creative. There are different types of creativity, but all humans are creative. The reason it feels so good to sit down and do some type of crafting project is because we all need a creative outlet.
Blogging is a great way to have a creative business outlet. The best part about using blogging as your creative outlet? You get paid for it. How many creative outlets can say that for themselves? Not too many.
4. Start a Blog To Work From Anywhere – To Customers Located Anywhere
One of my biggest reasons for wanting to start a blog was to be able to work from anywhere. We travel a lot, and I’d like to be able to live the flexible lifestyle I am accustomed to and not have to worry about being tied to a location.
I know bloggers who spend winters in Costa Rica, Mexico, Hawaii and many other places. They take their work with them, and continue to make money from anywhere they choose and unless they tell their readers that they are away, no one even knows.
Physical businesses are limited by time and space, they are limited to people who physically shop at their store. A blog that sells products has the location online, where customers from all around the world can shop, making the possibility and amount of sales infinitely greater.
5. Start a Blog To Spend More Time with Family
How many times have we had to miss important family events because of work commitments? When you have a blog for a business, you are your own boss. Of course there is still work to be done, but you decide on your hours.
As a blogger, you work from home. Sometimes that can be a bit of a challenge, but on the other hand, you are always available when your family needs you. Children grow up so fast, it’s almost like if you blink you miss it. As a blogger, your commute is from your bedroom to wherever it is in the house you have your office!
Being an online entrepreneur gives you freedom to cultivate your relationships with TIME. Your time is priceless. By the way, did you know that Time Can Make You Rich?
5. Start a Blog To Create a Life You Love ❤️
Create Your Life, Exactly the Way You Want It.
For the last 15 years I have been at work creating a life I love. Helping other women create a life they love has long been a passion of mine. I went from a life of uncertainty to this life that I absolutely adore, and it has been fantastic! I have many of the pieces in place, and I am now building this blog to fulfill my passion and purpose to create a life that isn’t perfect, but perfect for me.
6. Start a Blog To Help Others
Blogging is a great way to use your passion to help others.
Your blog can be a tremendous support to someone. If you have a special talent for something, why not use it to help someone else? Perhaps you are really skilled at meal planning. You could use your blog for the busy Mom’s out there who could use some help to get their dinners together.
Or maybe you are a budgeting guru who can teach people to learn how properly handle their money. Your blog can have life changing results for people. When you think about it like that, you realize that you almost have to start a blog because somebody is counting on you, they just don’t know it yet.
Whatever it is that makes you uniquely you, somebody needs. Put it out there and you can be a blessing and be blessed by helping others.
8. Blogging is Fun!
Blogging is a community, and within each niche there are sub communities. You can connect with like-minded people and collaborate. You find your niche by choosing a topic to blog about that showcases all of your talents and expertise. When you are blogging about something that you enjoy, from any place you would like, spending time with the people you love, it’s fun!
These are 8 reasons you should start a blog, there is so much to learn and do, but the best way to start is to just start!
